Hello Customers, Colleagues, and Friends,
We’re writing to inform you of the PAUSE of expected increase of tariffs on Chinese goods. President Trump wrote in an Executive Order that the suspension of heightened tariffs on China is necessary to facilitate “ongoing and productive discussion with China about remedying trade imbalances, unfair trade practices, expanding market access for American exports, and aligning with the United States on national security and economic matters.”
Suspension of Heightened Tariffs on Chinese Imports Extended
President Trump has issued an executive order extending the suspension of previously elevated tariffs on Chinese goods through November 10, 2025, in support of ongoing trade negotiations. The current 10% reciprocal tariff remains in effect during this period.
Although the heightened tariff levels—which could have reached up to 145% on U.S. imports—are paused, all other existing tariffs on China remain active.
What This Means for You
- No sudden tariff surges between now and November 10—the 10% rate continues
- Other tariffs still apply, including existing Section 301, 232, and “fentanyl” levies and the removal of de minimis exemptions.
Further updates expected. We will continue to monitor developments and provide timely updates as additional information becomes available. Please reach out to K&H if you have any questions regarding the recent tariff changes.
Sincerely, Your friends at Krenz and Hannan International
