Dear Customers, Colleagues, and Friends,
As developments continue regarding potential refunds of tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), Krenz & Hannan International is prepared to assist importers in evaluating and filing refund claims through U.S. Customs. Below is a clear outline of our service scope and associated fee structure.

Includes:
- Up to 1 hour of service time
- Data compilation
- Processing within the CAPE portal
- Internal review and submission preparation
- Additional Consulting & Support Services
Work exceeding the standard 1-hour allocation, or services requiring additional analysis or coordination, will be billed at: $150 per hour
This may include, but is not limited to: Detailed entry data review and reconciliation; Accounting coordination and monitoring of refund activity; Follow-up with U.S. Customs on claim status or discrepancies; Post-summary correction (PSC) / Protest strategy and evaluation; Internal audit support and documentation validation; Coordination with importers, vendors, or third parties; Historical data reconstruction or file cleanup; Advisory support on eligibility, risk, and compliance consideration.
Additional Fees – Foreign Importers / Non-U.S. Banking

- $500 flat fee for preparation and filing of CBP Form 4811 (Application for Refund of Duties to be processed to KHI)
- $100 per outgoing wire transfer for disbursement of refunded duties
These fees are applied in addition to the standard filing and consulting fees outlined above. We anticipate additional hourly charges in managing this process. These will be billed at our consulting rate of $150/hr.
Important Notes:
Refund processing timelines are dependent on U.S. Customs and are subject to change based on system capabilities and regulatory developments. It has been expected that refund Final refund eligibility and approval remain at the discretion of U.S. Customs. The ACE system remains extremely glitchy and we are continually seeing operational issue.
IMPORTERS CAN FILE REFUND APPLICATIONS IN CAPE THEMSELVES. IF YOU INTEND TO HAVE KRENZ AND HANNAN ASSIST IN YOUR REFUND FILING, REACH OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND WE WILL BEGIN THE CONSULTATION. WE ARE NOT GUARANTEEING ANY TIMELINES FOR REFUND FILING
**** It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to review previous Customer Advisories ( 1/13/26 & 2/4/26) linked here to review the updated tariff refund procedure. We strongly suggest immediately registering for an ACE Portal account, if you haven’t already, and following the ACH REFUND AUTHORIZATION procedure.
Sincerely, Your friends at Krenz and Hannan International
