Dear Customers, Colleagues, and Friends,
This is a reminder that IEEPA tariff refunds are not automatic—importers must take action to file and receive eligible refunds through U.S. Customs. Krenz & Hannan International is actively assisting clients with evaluating and filing these claims. If you would like our team to handle your refund filings, please reach out as soon as possible to begin the process.
Key Steps to Prepare (Required Before Filing)
1) ACE Portal Access
You must have an active ACE Portal account to monitor filings and refund activity.
2a) ACH Refund Authorization (CRITICAL)
Refunds are issued electronically via ACH. You must complete ACH Refund Authorization within your ACE Portal.
Failure to complete this step will delay or prevent receipt of refunds.
2b) No U.S. Bank Account (If Applicable)
Importers without a U.S. bank account must designate a payee (via CBP Form 4811) to receive refunds on their behalf.
3) Entry Data Review
Identify and confirm your eligible IEEPA entries to support accurate filing.

Important Reminder

- We strongly encourage all importers to begin preparation immediately and contact our team to initiate your refund filing process.
